Analytical Services

As a manufacturer of high quality botanical extracts with more than 40 years of experience, EUROMED has achieved a great knowledge and expertise in developing laboratory services for raw material and extracts.

Validated Analytical Methods

EUROMED can supply validated analytical methods (HPLC, GC, HPTLC or UV-vis), using adaptations of the same test method for source raw material, extract and also finished products. This provides the “red-line” documentation as currently required by many countries’ medicine and health agencies. Some of the reference substances used in the analytical test are produced, and fully documented, at EUROMED’s state-of-the-art laboratory.

Stability Tests

Stability tests of extracts are performed at EUROMED according to ICH guidelines. Therefore, we can offer stability tests of manufacturers’ finished products, under controlled temperature and humidity, and complete stability reports in CTD format.

Dissolution Testing

EUROMED can determine the dissolution rates of active ingredients of solid dosage forms as, for example, tablets and capsules. This service is useful in formulation development, stability testing, quality control and as a marketing tool to compare other products on the market.

Analytical Tests

Analytical tests for potential contaminants such as heavy metals, aflatoxins, ochratoxins, pesticide residues, dioxins, PAHs, particularly Benz(A)pyren, are carried out by an established control laboratory that is regularly audited.

Product documentation

EUROMED can provide all the data required for the registration of finished products, from starting raw material to the finished extract. We also offer Active Substance Master Files in CTD format.

03Reference Substances

Isolation and characterization of active principles and marker substances used as reference standards

EUROMED reference substances (primary standards) are produced from natural sources, unless otherwise mentioned in our certificates. They are carefully prepared, controlled and selected.
